IN-CAHOOTS
Soup. Bread. Vote.
Using food and conversation to promote community-based development, collaboration among neighbors, and bottom-up democracy, in a fun, friendly setting.

Congratulations to Doug Pollock, the winner of September's In-cahoots grant! He's working to save the ancient old growth trees in the OSU research forests

HOW IT WORKS
Every few months In-cahoots hosts a dinner where everyone and anyone is welcome. The suggested donation is $10. Three members of our community make brief presentations describing a project they have that needs funding. It could be an artist who wants to paint a mural, a neighbor who wants to start a community garden, or a teacher who wants a professional writer to help her students write a play. The project could be anything that benefits the community. Everyone at the dinner votes and the project that gets the most votes wins the money collected at the door. Voila!
WHAT IT IS
• A public dinner
• A forum for connection and discussion
• An experiment in democratic microfunding
• An opportunity to support creative people in Corvallis
• A way to promote action and change
• A fun evening!
HOW TO SUPPORT IN-CAHOOTS
• Attend the dinner. And bring a friend. Children and families are welcome!
• Donate soup, bread, or cookies.
• Volunteer. Join the team. Help us organize In-cahoots events.
• Spread the word to teachers, artists, farmers, innovators, helpers and thinkers of all kinds. If someone you know has a good idea, but needs a little funding to get it going, tell them about In-cahoots and encourage them to apply!

HOW TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
Your proposal should answer 3 questions:
1. What is your project?
2. Why does this project matter to the Corvallis community?
3. How will you use the grant funding to make your project happen?

The proposal can be about anything that benefits the community. Submit using the contact form below, email us at corvallisincahoots@gmail.com or mail your proposal to P.O. Box 2136, Corvallis OR 97339
If your proposal is selected, you will have 4 minutes to share your idea. The diners will ask you a few questions. You cannot use technology to share your idea. Winners are announced the night of the event.
